Water Conservation Class

by Carrie

Date: June 14, 2010
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Meeting Rooms A & B

This Monday, JCPL’s adult programming series on green living continues with a class on water conservation. Dave Lafferty from the City of Nicholasville will teach you techniques for conserving water and using it wisely. You’ll also have the chance to win a free rain barrel!

Rain barrels allow you to water your indoor and outdoor plants with rain water collected from your roof. This brochure from the EPA describes the advantages of rain barrels and lists several companies that sell them. You can also make your own rain barrel using a recycled barrel, as you can see on the website for the City of Bremerton, Washington.
